Brazil: Unitary campaign "Out Bolsonaro!"

Home > International (Engl) > Americas > Brazil: Unitary campaign "Out Bolsonaro!"

Many Brazilian organizations are calling for 3 days of actions in the different states of Brazil on July 10, 11 and 12. In view of the pandemic, both face-to-face and virtual activities are planned. These initiatives are organized by the "Fora Bolsonaro" campaign, which includes the trade unions CUT, Força Sindical, CSP-CONLUTAS, CTB, Intersindical Central, etc; Intersindical Instrumento de Luta, UGT, CSB, CGTB, Nova Central, the political organizations PT, PSOL, PSTU, PCdoB, UP, PCB, PCO, PSB, PDT, Rede, collectives such as Frentes Brasil Popular, Povo sem Medo, Torcidas Organizadas.

On the 10th, strikes are planned in several professional sectors and Brazilian states, gatherings in workplaces, housing or land occupation places, etc. The 11th is a day dedicated to "Fora Bolsonaro". On the 12th, street demonstrations are planned.

The member organisations of the International Trade Union Solidarity and Struggle Network support these actions, in a country particularly affected by Covid-19: because of the scandalous management of the pandemic by the Bolsonaro government, but also because of the exorbitant inequalities, the very great poverty of part of the population, discrimination, racism, the destruction of public services, etc., which, unfortunately, do not date back to the Bolsonaro era. The Brazilian member organizations of the International Trade Union Network of Solidarity and Struggles are part of this campaign from their class position, defending the interests of workers and the population that is exploited today. We support them!
