Poland : solidarity with the representatives of Inicjatywa Pracownicza

Accueil > Reflections and debates > Criminalization of social movements > Poland : solidarity with the representatives (...)

Solidarity with the representatives of Inicjatywa Pracownicza who have been dismissed in recent months with the aim of destroying the union :

  • Magda Malinowska (IP’s representative at Amazon in Poznań)
  • Nina Pluta (IP’s representative at Pedagogical University in Cracow)
  • Dorota Olszewska-Sioma (IP’s representative at Primary School no. 8 in Toruń)

This is an illegal and anti-union strategy of the bosses. A lawsuit against Amazon has begun in an effort to get Magda back to work and pay compensation for the time of her unemployment.

Member organisations of the International Trade Union Network for Solidarity and Struggles are supporting the demonstration organised by IP and other independent trade unions in front of the Ministry of Justice in Warsaw on 27 June to demand better protection for trade union activists.

The member organisations of the International Trade Union Network for Solidarity and Struggles renew their denunciation of the anti-union employers’ manoeuvres and anti-union repression in all its forms.

In Poland as elsewhere, we defend solidarity and independent trade unionism, for the defence of the immediate demands of workers and for the construction of an egalitarian society.
