THERE IS NO JUSTICE FOR THE VICTIMS OF THE DEATH FLIGHTS IN ARGENTINA

Accueil > Motions > THERE IS NO JUSTICE FOR THE VICTIMS OF THE (...)

A month ago the Argentinian ex navy officer Adolfo Scilingo left the Spanish prison of Alcalá Meco (Madrid) to volunteer at a Catholic parish in Madrid. The episode went unnoticed. Adolfo Scilingo was sentenced to 1038 year in prison as the author of crimes against humanity for his responsibility in the assassination of thousands of Argentinian dissidents during the civil-military dictatorship, the so-called “National Reorganisation Process” that unleashed repression, missing people, assassinations and tortures from 1976 to 1983.

After 22 years of imprisonment, he is enjoying freedom and life, precisely what he snatched away from those comrades whom he tortured and assassinated. He has never apologised, neither has he shown repentance for the deeds that took the life of dozens of thousands of people.

At the same time, we hear the mass media and the fascist political groups defending revisable permanent prison, but we never hear a word from them against those members of the State security forces who have been sentenced for torturing and killing.

While we do not defend the prison system, which kidnaps thousands of people around the world, we, the International Labour Network of Solidarity and Struggles, condemn this lack of justice. We declare ourselves against all forms of ideological repression.

Madrid will be the tomb of fascism

Until all are free
