Serhiy Mykhailovych Kovalchuk

Serhiy Mykhailovych Kovalchuk, a member of the Independent Trade Union of Miners of Ukraine, was killed in the struggle against the Russian aggressor. The Independent Trade Union of Miners of Ukraine, the Chervonohrad Regional Association of the NPGU and the NPG NPO of the Lisova mine are deeply saddened by the death of a soldier who worked for many years in a coal company. We express our sincere condolences for the irreparable loss of the relatives and friends of the deceased.

Serhiy Mykhailovych Kovalchuk was born on 11 August 1976. From 2005 to 2019 he worked at the Lisova mine of the Lvivugol state enterprise. He lived in Chervonohrad, in the Lviv region. Serhiy is survived by his wife and two children.

In the fight against the Russian aggressor, defending Ukraine, near Kharkiv, an electrician of the Stepova underground mine of Lvivugol State Enterprise, member of the Independent Miners’ Union of Ukraine Yuriy Mykhailovych Ogorodnyk died on 7 May.

The Independent Trade Union of Miners of Ukraine, the Chervonohrad Regional Association of NPGU and the Stepova Mine NPGU are deeply saddened by the death of a young soldier miner. We express our sincere condolences for the irreparable loss of the parents, relatives, colleagues and friends of the deceased.

Yuriy Ogorodnyk was born on 6 February 1999. From 2018 he worked in the conveyor section of the Stepova mine of the Lvivugol state enterprise. Resident of Chervonohrad, Lviv region. In April 2019 he was called up for military service. From October 2020, he served under contract in the armed forces.
